萝莉研究所 has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the Foundation for California Community Colleges through the Community Connect 2025 initiative. The funding will support the expansion of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, which offers free tax preparation services to eligible individuals and families within certain income guidelines.
Through its partnership with the Community Action Partnership of Riverside County, 萝莉研究所 continues to serve as a vital resource to students and the broader community. The VITA program provides free tax preparation services to low- and moderate-income individuals and families earning up to $85,000 annually. This initiative aligns with the college鈥檚 commitment to community engagement by bringing essential financial services directly to those in need.
鈥淭his is an exciting opportunity to grow our VITA program and better serve our students and community,鈥 said Ashley Etchison, dean of instruction at 萝莉研究所. 鈥淲e are looking forward to working with the Foundation for California Community Colleges to expand access to free tax preparation services. A special thank you to our amazing faculty, Patty Worsham and Dana White, for leading the charge on VITA and continuing to provide this much-needed service.鈥
The VITA program at 萝莉研究所 will operate during the 2025 tax season, offering convenient on-campus tax preparation services. Further details, including operating hours, will be announced soon.
